On January 1, 1979, Sue Poe (Sue Flowers), the eldest of Don and Carol's four children joined the company. Over the next three years, she would be joined by her three brothers, Greg, Steve, and Doug, as well as longtime family friend Jon McKnight, in taking permanent positions at Cleveland Vicon.

With the construction of the Cleveland State University's Wolstein Center at the location on East 21st Street, Cleveland Vicon moved to 4540 Willow Parkway in Cuyahoga Heights. This move allowed Cleveland Vicon to obtain a larger space just outside of downtown Cleveland with easy access to most areas in Northeast Ohio.
